Santorini was it. Ayda saw an image of an intimate wedding in Santorini, of a couple in love, long before she was engaged to Nima. That couple in that image happened to be one of our dearest couples who married in Santorini in 2015. Fast forward 4 years, and we were back in Santorini to celebrate Ayda & Nima’s love, along with their nearest and dearest, whom all know a Santorini Sunset now. How incredible is it when two people not only come together to turn a celebration to a dream, but also watch their love become a vessel for a once in a lifetime memory for others? I hope you enjoy a glimpse into their big day, and I hope for you too, sunsets on a wedding day are watched, experienced and felt. Xx, M All Images: Barb Simkova for Tara McMullen Photography

It was a pleasure working with them on managing their guest’s travel while Gianna did a wonderful job planning her wedding at Dreams Palm Beach, Punta Cana. Here’s how Gianna & Craig describe their day and their wedding trip – “For all of you lovely future brides and grooms contemplating a destination wedding, my advice for you is simple – DO IT! My husband and I were engaged in Punta Cana, and only saw it fitting that we got married there too! We were married in July 2015 at Dreams Palm Beach Punta Cana. We were put in touch with a wedding coordinator at the resort, and she was absolutely amazing, wonderful, helpful, experienced, and accommodating! She truly made our dreams come true! We contacted The Eventeur to assist in arranging our group travel. Our group was about 30-40 people, and we had no idea where to start. Mahla and her expertise shined brightly for us! She managed every detail that went into getting our group travel organized and booked, leaving it “stress free” for my husband and I. Craig and I couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out!” Gianna & Craig (and now little Gabriela) we wish your lovely family a lifetime of happiness! Thank you for trusting us with your trip of a lifetime. Photography: Julia Eskin – http://www.juliaeskin.com/

This Persian beach Wedding in Punta Cana’s JellyFish Restaurant was everything beach wedding dreams are made of. It was for this stunning bride that we asked the team at Jellyfish to add a swing to their dance floor. They did at first, and all throughout, think I had lost my mind…”swing? how? why? no!”…after much negotiation they agreed and not only loved the swing so much that they made it a permanent fixture of their venue, but every other venue in Punta Cana followed suit and added a swing to their dance floor permanently. This was the first, but not the last time, that one of my crazy/random/creative ideas became a trademark of a destination. Xx, M
